Container delivery preparation guide
Use this guide to gather the information our team needs before reviewing a container pickup or delivery. Exact requirements are confirmed for your job.
Before you request a quote
01
Confirm its size, loaded or empty status, estimated total weight, and condition. Explain whether it is on a chassis, on the ground, or in another position.
02
Provide full pickup and delivery addresses, site contacts, receiving restrictions, and any entrance that is different from the mailing address.
03
Flag narrow gates, tight turns, overhead wires, tree branches, parked vehicles, and other obstacles along the truck’s route into the property.
04
Describe the approach and placement surfaces, slopes, drainage concerns, and any soft ground. The team must assess whether conditions suit the equipment and load.
05
Explain the intended container position and door orientation. Keep the operating area available, and discuss any nearby structures or restricted spaces before dispatch.
06
Ask Courtesy to confirm the handling method, access needs, scheduling, and price. Obtain any necessary site permission before the move. A web form alone does not book it.
When Courtesy follows up, be ready to share photos of the approach, entrance, operating area, and intended placement. A single close-up of the container may not show the constraints around it.
Photos support a conversation. They are not a substitute for a job-specific review or a guarantee that equipment can safely operate on the site. Do not remove obstacles, alter ground conditions, or work around utilities without appropriate permission and qualified help.
There is no universal clearance number or surface requirement on this page. The correct requirements depend on the truck, equipment, container, load, and operating conditions.

Send a quote request with the locations and container information. Mention any access concern early.
