Detroit container trucking

Container transport.
From here to there.

Shipping-container transportation starts with the right plan for the container, the route, and the site. Talk with Courtesy Transfer about pickup, delivery, or a ground-level move.

A container move is more than two addresses.

A container sitting on the ground presents a different job from one mounted on a chassis. Loaded and empty containers also require different information. Share the container’s dimensions, loaded status, estimated weight, and pickup conditions so our team can assess the transportation requirements.

Courtesy Transfer offers container trucking, including rollback and ground-level container pickup or delivery when the equipment and site are suitable. Availability and the handling method are confirmed after we review your specific job.

For a container moving through an intermodal terminal, see our drayage service page. If your move includes both terminal and ground-level handling, describe the full route in your inquiry.

What to include in your quote request

Container details

Tell us the size, whether it is loaded or empty, its estimated weight, and whether it is on the ground or a chassis.

Pickup and delivery access

Share full addresses, site contacts, surface conditions, overhead obstructions, and available maneuvering space.

Timing and placement

Include the preferred date, any site restrictions, and where the container should be placed. Scheduling is confirmed directly.

Before the truck arrives

Make the site part of the plan.

A location may look accessible in a photograph but still have obstacles for a truck and container. Gates, parked vehicles, slopes, overhead wires, soft ground, and limited turning space should be discussed before dispatch.

Do not assume that a standard clearance or surface will work for every container move. Courtesy’s team needs to review the intended approach and placement. Photos can be provided directly when the team follows up on your request.

Questions before you get started

Can you move a container that is sitting on the ground?

Ground-level container pickup and delivery are part of the services we review. Suitability depends on the container, weight, access, surface, and available equipment. Send the job details before making arrangements.

Do you move both loaded and empty containers?

Include the loaded or empty status and estimated total weight in your request. Our team will confirm whether the particular container and load can be handled.

Can I book a delivery online?

The website starts a quote or job-review request. Equipment availability, scheduling, handling requirements, and the price must be confirmed with Courtesy before the move is booked.
